It's been a minute......

Hey yall,

I've been gone for a few days or 2 or 10..... lol I've been traveling on the highway back and forth to Michigan and I'm about to conclude a week long stay in Cincinnati. As you know I have done the BC and I'm loving it.

My friends and family have had good responses to it, except for one pesky person whom I call my boyfriend. When I first told my BF that I was gonna go natural he said he was fine with it just don't cut your hair into a fade. We both agreed that was not a look for me. So, after months of transitioning with braids, kinky twist, and more braids it has grown to a length I feel comfortable cutting the permed ends off and HE HATES IT!!!

This is my hair on Friday that my bf hates so much he says it doesn't fit my face.


I just don't understand why but I really don't care (I guess that makes me mean now ...). He asked me to flat iron my hair because since we've been together I've always had my hair and I quote "neat and together" (what the blood clot!!!!) So, I go to the store and buy some flat irons. I started flat ironing my hair and the irons didn't get as hot as I wanted them to but they worked. Well, my hair is like even all over and has not style so I end up looking like My granny and I'm pissed. Needless to say I didn't go to church because I didn't like my hair.

I love my boo but he's gonna have to deal with the fro until it gets longer to do something else with. I'm cool with the flat ironed look but I love the natural look. Until next time ladies

Conquering Hungry

I joined Weight Watchers yesterday so I can meet my goal by September. The plan is pretty simple but it's hard for me to eat all of those points I have. My goal is to eat what I'm suppose to and stick to this. Along with working out and doing this program I hope to loose close to 100lbs by September. We shall see!!!

Hair stylist Update

Hey ladies!!!

Here is my update from the stylist I tried. She is a very sweet person and has a calm spirit. She washed, conditioned and cut my hair. All of the perm has been cut off except for a very little in the front. After the wash she blow dried my hair and flat iron it. At first I was a little sad because all my hair was gone but it slowly but surely grew on me. My hair was so straight people thought I had went back to a perm!! My only complaint is she's a little heavy handed and when she washes your hair she scrubs a little to hard but other than that I would definitely recommend her to people I know!!!





Here is my hair when I was in Michigan it’s day 3 hair. My best friend and I were about to go hang out together.

When I got home from Michigan my scalp started to flake from the harsh -16 degree weather I faced while I was in the Mitten State. So, I washed my hair and conditioned it and here are the pics from my little process I go through.

I washed my hair with Pantene Moisture Renewal Shampoo. My hair has been so dry and this has worked for me in the past so I used it today it cost about 4.99 at CVS stores.

After I washed it I used Silk Elements Mega Cholesterol Conditioning Treatment by Silk Elements. Now this has mineral oil in it but it makes your hair so so soft and manageable. I sometimes will use 2 conditioners and this time I did. I used Intense Moisture Therapy by Komaza care; this product is now discontinued and they have a different conditioner I'll try as a replacement. I let the conditioner sit in my hair for about 30 minutes covered with a bag and rinsed it out.

I use a large wide tooth come and my wide tooth pick to shape and comb my hair. Then I seal in the moisture with my whipped hair butter I made from shea butter and Olive oil.

Here is the finished outcome a soft and fluffy little fro

I AM SO PISSED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took my braids down because they were too tight and I wanted to save my edges that they were pulling on. Well when I took my hair down my mom happened to be behind me and noticed I had a bald spot in the middle of my head. So I got up took a picture and now I'm ready to fight. This is some bullmess

I'm so mad I could kill somebody!!!!! This doesn't make any sense how in the hell do you braid someones hair completely out!!!!! When the girl was braiding my hair it didn't even hurt but afterwards I said ok this is too tight. I just took them because I could take it anymore and I had something to do that required my hair to be done. Now I don't know what to do!!!!!!

In this picture below you can see where the braids started to pull on my edges. I want to cry I'm so mad this makes no sense.!!!
SO now I have to wait for that to grow back before I can really get my hair styled for real. Please ladies if your briads are too tight take them out don't stand the pain!!!

People explain me in words, define me in perceptions, sort me by category & label me with titles.

But does your explanation, perception, category or label explain who I AM.

Your looks and stares as I walk by tell me truths and tell me lies.

But does it tell you whose I AM.

Your attitude and lack of gratitude of my talents & gifts tell me what you think of my God given fortitude's.

But does it show you who I AM.

You heard I was this or heard I was that so your assumptions now assume a position in space that you assume is my life..

But does it tell you where I AM.

The way I style my hair, the car that I drive, the clothes that I wear send you into a deep stare.

But does it tell you what I HAVE.

Everything you see is not what it is; everything you hear is not necessarily what it sounds like..

They say believe none of what you see and half of what you hear because what you see now is not what God sees for my tomorrow, what you heard today may not be the Headline tomorrow. .

I am Woman, Disciple, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Neice, Friend, Lover, Confidant, Worshipper, Praying Warrior, Beautiful, Singer, Song Writer, Poet, Artist, Violists, Faith, Hope, Sexy, Strength, Pet Lover, and most of all NOT what you say I am.

You can try to explain me, define me, sort me, or label me but one thing you will never know is me..

So, explain the me you see and place me in the categories you see fit, label me with everything you want and define me with all words you perceive as true but there will never be a place you can put me..

I'm louder than your words, more complex than your definitions, too large for categories and too perplexing for any label you can find. .

I found a Natural Hairstylist

Hey Ladies,

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I was in Walmart sometime ago and I saw a lady rockin a bangin Twist out and I asked her who does he hair. She gave me the number to the stylist, but I misplaced the number. I'm glad I remembered where the salon was so I stopped in there one day and asked for her. Her name is Marlana and she works at a full service salon here in Columbus, Oh called Expressions. I'll be making an appointment with her for next week and I can't wait. This is so exciting to me because I have been searching and searching for a stylist that is not only affordable but cares about hair. So, hopefully my search is over and I'll keep you guys updated on how the appointment goes.
